How to Create and Customize Toolbars in CATIA V5

To create or customize toolbars in CATIA V5, go to the top menu Tools > Customize.
In the Customize window, select the third tab, Toolbars.

 

 

By clicking New, you can create a new toolbar from scratch or modify an existing one. You can also use toolbars from other workbenches that are compatible with the one you are currently working in, such as Part Design and Shape Design.

To add commands, click Add Commands. Keep in mind that some commands do not have very clear names, so pay close attention to their descriptions before selecting them.

While the Customize window is open, you can move or copy commands from one toolbar to another by clicking and dragging the icons. To copy instead of move, simply hold down the Ctrl key while dragging.

If you want a modified toolbar to return to its original state, use the Restore Content option.
If you want to reset all created or modified toolbars at once, click Restore All Content, which is more efficient than using the Delete option.

 Customizing toolbars helps you save time and makes your CATIA V5 environment more dynamic, reducing the need to switch between workbenches or spend time searching for commands in less visible menu locations.
